What the team can help with

The Happy Clinic team answers practical questions: which appointment type fits what you are asking for, how long it lasts, what it costs, how to move or cancel a booking, what to do if a confirmation or a summary letter has not arrived, and how to join the video call.

What cannot be answered by message

Nobody can tell you by email whether you have a particular condition, whether a medication is right for you, or what dose you should be on. Those are clinical decisions that need an assessment, because they depend on your history, your physical health and what you are already taking. A message asking for a diagnosis will be answered with an invitation to book, which is not evasion; it is the only safe answer.

Requests for a prescription between appointments are handled as a repeat prescription request, which is charged separately and is subject to clinical review. See fees and prescriptions after an online consultation.

If you need help sooner than an appointment

This site and Happy Clinic both work to appointment times, and neither is an out-of-hours or crisis service. If a life is at risk, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent mental health help, call NHS 111 and, in England, choose the mental health option; your local NHS crisis team can also be reached that way. Samaritans are free on 116 123, day or night, and your own GP surgery can usually offer an urgent appointment.

Telling us about the website itself

If something on Telepsychiatry.co.uk looks wrong, out of date or unclear, say so and it will be checked; the pages are revised when services, fees or national guidance change. About this site explains who publishes it and how it is written. If you are still weighing up whether a video appointment suits your circumstances, the suitability checklist answers that faster than a message will.
